Energy Bites

Looking for a pre-workout snack?  This is one of our favorites….


A few simple ingredients.  You can easily substitute the PB for almond butter or sunbutter. You could even substitute the butterscotch chips for peanut butter chips, craisins or other dried fruit.  There are so many options with this recipe.  I don’t think you could screw them up.


Mix all the dry ingredients first before adding the peanut butter and honey.


An ice cream scooper works really well, but makes it more of a ‘dome’ shape than a ball.  But you can make it any way you like.


To give credit where credit is due, I adapted my recipe from Gimme Some Oven and Smashed Peas and Carrots.  (Their pictures are prettier than mine too.  My pics were from my phone).

And to give even more credit, it’s usually my hubby that makes these neat little creations for us.  They are so yummy!!
